The worst fires in the history of show business
[ad_1]
On February 20, 2003, during a performance by Great White at The Station in West Warwick, Rhode Island, foam-clad walls caught fire from pyrotechnics used during the concert. About 100 people, including the band’s guitarist Ty Longley, died as a result of a fire (some in a crush when the crowd rushed to the exit), about 230 people received various injuries. The band’s tour manager and club owner were sentenced to 15 years in prison and released on parole after 4 years in prison. In 2022, the documentary film “The Guest List” dedicated to this tragic event was released.
