The official presentation of the new models is scheduled for September. At the same time, they intend to start mass production. The company is negotiating with potential Chinese partners to expand the range of cars produced at the plant in Vladivostok.
Formerly Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako saidthat the launch of the plant with the participation of Chinese partners may take place in August.
Sollers is a Russian automotive company that worked in partnership with Ford and Mazda. The latter in November 2022 announced the termination of operations in Russia and the transfer of its entire stake in Mazda Sollers Manufacturing Rus LLC (renamed Automotive Industrial Technologies LLC) in favor of Sollers. Ford also announced the suspension of its activities in the Russian market and in October announced the withdrawal from the joint venture and sold a 49% stake to Sollers.
In June it became known that Sollers invests in the launch of the production of automobile diesel engines with a volume of 2-2.7 liters at its site in the SEZ “Alabuga” 2.2 billion rubles. Before Ford left Russia, the plant in Yelabuga assembled Ford Transit vans.
