The winners of the Icarus Animation Award have been announced

The IX National Animation Prize “Icarus” ceremony was held at the “School of Modern Play” theater. This year in the nomination “Full meter” the winner was the cartoon “Finnik” directed by Denis Chernov, the best short animated film – “Sunflower” by Natalia Chernysheva, reports TASS.

The best episode was the series “Icicles” from the animated series “Little Forest Stories” directed by Veronika Fedorova. Varya Yakovleva for “Vanlove” received the award for best director, and Vadim Mikhailov and Andrey Bakhurin (“Someone else’s bread”) won in the “Script” nomination.

In the Startup category, the winner was the Sheep Hotel by Studio Metrafilms (the author of the idea is Dmitry Vysotsky, the general producers are Artem Vasiliev and Karina Kabanova). Dusya Geller won in the nomination “Case” with the project “Sleep, my dear”.

The jury of the award recognized Galina Golubeva as the best artist (“A Million Scarlet Roses”). The best concept artists were Dmitry Vysotsky and Vladimir Dolgov (“Hotel at the Sheep”), the best animators were Alla Solovieva and Yegor Tabachnikov (“Socks for a Star”).

Alexey Prosvirnin (The Ant March) was awarded in the Composer category. The award for the best work of a sound engineer was received by Alexei Zelensky (“Good Old Vinyl”).

Bodo Borodo from the animated series “Bodo Borodo” was recognized as the best character, Pavel Lyubimtsev (“The Tale of Friendship”) won in the nomination “Actor”.

Production designer Nina Vinogradova received an honorary award “Master” for her contribution to the art of animation. Yuliana Slashcheva, chairman of the board of directors of the film studio Soyuzmultfilm, won in the Producer nomination.

The award was first presented in 2015, its founders are the Open Russian Festival of Animated Film, the Union of Cinematographers of the Russian Federation and the Association of Animated Film.
