Ballerina Zoya Khil, the widow of People’s Artist Eduard Khil, died in St. Petersburg.

Zoya Khil was born in Leningrad in 1940 into an acting family. Zoya Alexandrovna left her ballet career after meeting Eduard Khil, whom she married in 1958. Subsequently, the wife helped her husband in his work as a choreographer and entertainer.
Zoya Khil outlived her husband by 12 years – the singer died in 2012 at the age of 77 after a stroke. The couple’s heirs were their son Dmitry and grandson Eduard, who also devoted their lives to art.
