About a large-scale failure of the messenger on the evening of April 3 reported users all over the world. “And we returned. Enjoy your communication!” says a message on the messenger page on the social network X. According to Downdetector, the problems were related to the operation of the mobile application and website, as well as receiving messages.

Most often, users in India, Great Britain and Brazil complained about problems with WhatsApp (owned by Meta, which is banned in the Russian Federation). In total, more than 24 thousand users, including residents of Russia, reported failures. As of 2:30 Moscow time, Downdetector recorded only 44 complaints about the work of the messenger.
