The volume of transactions in the mode of main trading in foreign securities on the St. Petersburg Exchange in July 2022 amounted to $7.20 billion, demonstrating a decrease of 77.06% compared to July 2021 ($31.38 billion) and by 27.04% compared to June 2022 ($9.87 billion). This was reported by the press service of the trading platform.
The average daily trading volume in foreign shares in July fell by 23.40% compared to June, to $0.36 billion. Participants in the main trading mode concluded 7.49 million deals in July (8.82 million deals in June).
The number of active investor accounts decreased by 17.26% to 303.41 thousand (366.71 thousand in June). The number of accounts with positions in securities amounted to 1.73 million. Transactions in July were concluded with 1,681 names of shares and depositary receipts of international companies.
The leaders in terms of trading volume in the main trading mode for the Foreign Securities group of instruments were the following companies: Tesla (SPB: TSLA, 21.37%1 of the total trading volume in July), Coinbase (SPB: СOIN, 8.26% ), Alibaba (SPB: BABA, 3.94%), Advanced Micro Devices (SPB: AMD, 3.92%), NVIDIA (SPB: NVDA, 3.68%), Apple (SPB: AAPL, 2.96% ), MicroStrategy Incorporated (SPB: MSTR, 2.53%), Carnival Corporation (SPB: CCL, 2.02%), Netflix (SPB: NFLX, 1.68%), Marathon Digital Holdings (SPB: MARA, 1, 53%).
