Almost four out of five Russians still do not know about the ban on the online sale of alcohol, according to a study by VTsIOM commissioned by the Association of Internet Trade Companies (AKIT). And about 70% of respondents do not plan to buy alcohol on the Internet, follows from the survey. A copy of the document is at the disposal of Vedomosti.
The VTsIOM study was prepared as part of a discussion of a government experiment on the remote sale of alcohol. On April 7, the government approved a plan according to which, from November 2023, Russians will be able to buy domestic wine on the Russian Post website. The survey was conducted in mid-March 2023 among citizens of the Russian Federation over 18 years old, 1636 respondents took part in it. “The data is weighted by socio-demographic parameters. For this sample, the marginal error with a probability of 95% does not exceed 2.5%,” the document says.
