The tourism industry asks to reduce the tax burden

Major tourism business associations have taken the initiative to reduce the tax burden on the industry. We are talking about five taxes: VAT, taxes on property and income, insurance premiums and the rate for simplified users. The general position of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers, the Russian Hotel Association, the Union of Tourism and Hospitality and the Russian Union of Tourism Industry (PCT) was sent to the Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov (Vedomosti has a copy of the letter, the Ministry of Economics confirmed its receipt).
Despite the current measures to support the hotel industry, the return on equity of large collective accommodation facilities (CFRs) is practically zero, the letter says. In this regard, the investment attractiveness of the industry is at an extremely low level compared to a relatively small business that uses the simplified taxation system (STS).
