The top manager of the American retail chain Bed Bath & Beyond committed suicide

In New York yesterday, September 4, was found Gustavo Arnal, vice president and chief financial officer of Bed Bath & Beyond, a major household goods retailer, is dead. The NYPD said that the cause of death of the 52-year-old top manager was a fall from a great height from one of the skyscrapers in Manhattan.
The NYPD Medical Examiner’s Office classified the man’s death as a suicide. Bed Bath & Beyond reportedwhich is “shocked by the news of the death of Gustavo Arnal”, and expressed deep condolences to his family and loved ones.
Currently, the police and the media are trying to understand the reasons that prompted the top manager of a large corporation to commit suicide. Company last week reported about the beginning of anti-crisis restructuring, which will close about 150 stores (about 20% of the total) and will cut jobs (the exact number is not reported). The company also announced the attraction of two credit lines for a total of $875 million, which will be used for restructuring, buyback of shares from the market and repayment of part of the debt.
