The Universal Transshipment Complex of the Novorossiysk Ship Repair Plant (UPK NSRZ) will expand the berthing infrastructure in Novorossiysk for transshipment of metallurgical cargo under a concession. This follows from the order of the government, published on May 16 on the official Internet portal of legal information. UPK NSRZ is 75% owned by the Novorossiysk Commercial Sea Port (NCSP), 25% by Metalloinvest’s Lebedinsky GOK.
Federal State Unitary Enterprise Rosmorport, which currently manages the facilities, will transfer seven berths of the Novorossiysk Shipyard to Rosmorrechflot, the document says. Rosmorrechflot, in turn, is obliged to prepare an agreement together with the future concessionaire within 60 days and coordinate it with the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Transport and the Federal Antimonopoly Service. Within 75 days from the date of entry into force of the Code of Criminal Procedure, NSRZ must sign a concession agreement for a period of 49 years with the right to extend for another five.
