The State Duma wanted to “mark actors – traitors” before showing a movie

Dmitry Gusev, first deputy head of the Just Russia-For Truth faction in the State Duma, said that parliamentarians should develop a norm for special marking of “actors-traitors”, and the Ministry of Culture should put it into effect. The idea was prompted to him by a recent interview with Artur Smolyaninov, who spoke out in support of Ukraine.
According to the idea of the deputy, Smolyaninov and the actors who share his point of view should be separately indicated in the credits shown before the picture is shown in the cinema. He drew an analogy with warnings about the dangers of tobacco use and the labeling of foreign agents.
“God marks the rogue, – quote Gusev “Izvestia”. – Warning of betrayal in the credits of visual works.
Specifically, Smolyaninov renounced “his country and, therefore, most of his roles,” the deputy said. At the same time, he is convinced that filmmakers and viewers “should not suffer from this.”
“But the viewer should know about this,” Gusev said, adding that “how to mark traitors, we will figure it out in the State Duma.”
Despite the absence at the moment of such marking for actors, Smolyaninov will no longer be able to return “to our screens, to our films, media or media,” the deputy is convinced. He explained that “there are norms of the Criminal and Civil Codes”, and “Smolyaninov, for example, already falls under their action.”
