The start of gas supplies from Arctic LNG-2 will be postponed due to US sanctions – Kommersant

NOVATEK may not receive six LNG tankers from the Korean shipyard Hanwha Ocean, intended to export gas from the Arctic LNG-2 project, this year. Three gas carriers became unavailable because their customers, Sovcomflot structures, fell under US sanctions on February 23.
Three more tankers being built for Mitsui OSK Lines were not sanctioned, but their delivery has been delayed indefinitely. MOL attributed the delay to a labor shortage. As a result, NOVATEK does not have a fleet for commercial shipments from Arctic LNG-2, although its first line has already been launched.
Details – in the material “Kommersant” “A rare tanker will sail to Gydan”.
