The production line at the Sollers plant in Vladivostok will be launched in 2023 together with partners from China. This was announced by the Governor of Primorsky Krai Oleg Kozhemyako, speaking at the Legislative Assembly with a report on the work of the government in 2022.

“It is planned to launch a new line at the Sollers plant with Chinese partners this year,” the governor said during his speech, his words are quoted by Prime. He did not specify which partners to join the work.

Previously, Mazda and Sollers produced Mazda CX-9, Mazda CX-5 and Mazda 6 cars at the plant in Vladivostok. The operation of the enterprise was suspended for an indefinite period in 2022.

In November, Zoya Kaika, deputy general director of Sollers, announced that the company plans to start producing crossovers of the middle price segment under the brand of new partners at the plant in Vladivostok. Industry media last summer reportedthat the plant in Vladivostok was visited by delegations from China.

At the end of the year, Sollers bought Mazda’s share. It is planned to resume work in the third quarter of 2023.
