Most of the disagreements between the EAEU member countries (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan) on the creation of a single gas market have been resolved, the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) reported. The EEC specified that the negotiations took place on August 12 at the level of energy ministers of the countries.
“The Minister for Energy and Infrastructure of the EEC Arzybek Kozhoshev, under whose chairmanship the negotiations were held, noted significant dynamics in resolving issues on which the parties could not reach consensus for a long time,” the EEC said. The commission added that the search for solutions to outstanding issues will continue “at a higher level.” According to Kozhoshev, they can become the basis for future compromises.
