The share of Russian oil in the total consumption of Europe amounted to 16.7%, gas – 21%

The share of Russia in oil imports to Europe in 2022 decreased by 7.6 percentage points compared to 2021 and amounted to 23.3%. This follows from the report Statistical Review of World Energy (takes into account countries that are and are not members of the European Union (EU), including Turkey), published by the British Energy Institute on June 26. At the same time, oil supplies from Russia in physical terms last year decreased by 15.7% to 116.9 million tons. Another factor in the decrease in the market share of the Russian Federation was the growth in total imports in Europe by 11.8% to 501.3 million tons.
The share of Russian oil in total consumption in Europe decreased over the year more modestly – by 4 percentage points and amounted to 16.7%.
