The Moscow Academic Theater of Satire plans to resume performances on the main stage from Friday, February 2, after the fire.

According to the theater, the performance “The Taming of the Shrew” scheduled for February 1 on the main stage was canceled due to work to restore the full functioning of the theater.

In addition, performances on the Attic of Satire stage have been canceled until February 4.

Earlier, a source who wished to remain anonymous said that during the extinguishing of the dome part of the building of the capital’s Satire Theater was flooded with water almost half of the auditorium. According to him, lighting and sound equipment, all electrical connections – everything was lost irretrievably, and it takes at least six months to replace the lost equipment.

Presumably, the direct culprits of the fire are likely to be the workers who were involved in replacing the roof. On the day of the fire, the theater administration was not notified that there was hazardous work will be carried out.
