The Trinity icon by Andrey Rublev will be brought to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior on Sunday, June 4, and will stay there until June 18. This was announced by the Synodal Department of the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) for the relationship of the church with society and the media. The Russian Orthodox Church assured that the icon would be kept under strict control of the temperature and humidity regime, and employees of the Tretyakov Museum would monitor it.

The admission of believers to the temple to worship the icon will be carried out from 10:00 to 19:00. On Sunday, the icon will be admitted after the liturgy. The Russian Orthodox Church clarified that “in order to ensure the temperature and humidity conditions, technical breaks in access to the icon for up to 60 minutes are possible.”

“During its stay in the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the ancient image will be under the supervision of the staff of the Tretyakov Gallery with strict control of the temperature and humidity conditions required to preserve the monument,” the synodal department said in a statement. They added that bringing the icon is provided by the Ministry of Culture.
