The Russian market of new trucks grew by 7%

According to the results of August this year, the volume of the Russian market for new trucks amounted to 7093 units, the analytical agency reports. “Autostat”. This is 7% more than last month, but 14% lower than the same period last year.
According to the agency, the KamAZ brand became the leader in terms of sales and the only domestic manufacturer that took a position in the top five. Its share was 37% of the total – 2650 units. In second place is the Chinese brand Shacman with 1,230 units sold. The third and fourth positions were taken by FAW and Howo with 516 and 442 trucks respectively. Sales of the Belarusian brand MAZ amounted to 387 units.
According to the results of eight months of this year, 51.4 thousand new trucks were purchased in Russia. This is 20% less than the same indicator last year.
Last month, KamAZ was also the leader in sales on the Russian market: 2.3 thousand trucks were sold in June. Shacman also ranked second in the top five manufacturers. As before informed ”Kommersant”, China boosted sales in Russia amid depletion of stocks of European and American trucks. By June, the truck market fell by 18.8% to 37.7 thousand units.
