The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the start of work on organizing the Intervision competition

Director of the Department for Multilateral Humanitarian Cooperation and Cultural Relations of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Alexander Alimov said “RIA News”, that work on organizing the “Intervision” music competition has begun. According to him, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs helps the organizers establish international contacts.
Mr. Alimov claims that there is significant interest in the event. He said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is now working on the organizational, technical and creative aspects of connecting partner countries. He said that China has already appointed its representative responsible for China’s participation in the competition. According to him, the Russian Federation expects similar steps from other participating countries. He added that at the moment only friendly countries have shown interest in participating in the competition.
Last November, Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova and General Director of Channel One Konstantin Ernst told on the initiative to hold the Intervision music competition in 2024. Mr. Ernst said that the organizers are counting on the active participation of the BRICS countries in the competition. Now the association includes Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE.
