The Russian Field festival will surprise with new records

This year, the Russian Field will cook a record amount of porridge. In addition, the festival will bring products-record holders of the two previous festivals.

The interregional creative festival of Slavic art “Russian Field” in 2022 will be held on August 27 on the territory of the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve. Traditionally, the festival will bring together thousands of participants from various regions of the country to talk about the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of our Motherland.

“For two years in a row, due to the epidemiological situation, the Russian Field festival beloved by the citizens was held online, nevertheless gathering millions of people at the screens. In 2021, the broadcast of the festival was watched by 4,123,358 people from 112 countries. We are very pleased that the new format allowed us to share the feeling of the holiday with everyone, but it is still nice to return to the usual – finally, the festival will reopen its doors to guests at the Kolomenskoye Museum-Reserve. At the same time, we will continue the tradition of live broadcasts with great pleasure. I am sure that every year the audience and geography of viewers of the Russian Field will expand,” said Vitaly Suchkov, Head of the Moscow Department of National Policy and Interregional Relations.

This year, the Russian Field will bring together musicians, artisans, commodity producers and tour operators, with a total of at least two thousand participants. For guests of the festival, traditional and new thematic venues will work on the territory of Kolomenskoye. Visitors will be able to study pottery, watch theatrical performances, purchase handicrafts, and admire unique folk costumes. The Jury of the Festival will determine the best choir; the best choreographic team; the best instrumental group; the best collection “Heritage and Traditions”; the best tourist route; the best gastronomic brand; the best folk craftsman and the best commodity producer.

In addition to a large-scale entertainment program, the organizers of the festival annually try to surprise Muscovites and guests of the capital with interesting records. 2022 will be no exception and will be dedicated to gastronomic delights. It is known that at the largest celebration of Russian culture in honor of the 875th anniversary of the capital, a record amount of porridge will be prepared. Everyone can taste the dish prepared according to the recipe of 1147.

For the first time at the festival in a full-time format, representatives of different regions of Russia and other countries will present delicacies of their national cuisine. There will also be a cooking competition “From the villager to the hodgepodge of 5 centuries”, timed to coincide with the 475th anniversary of the mention of the hodgepodge in the Domostroy recipe book (1547). Chefs from Moscow, the Republic of Mari El, the Republic of Udmurtia, the Kursk, Smolensk, Yaroslavl regions, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and other regions will take part in the competition for cooking hodgepodge in the author’s performance with a national accent. The well-known Russian restaurant critic and blogger Oleg Nazarov will be the host of the culinary competition.

Especially for the guests of the Russian Field, and especially for those who love to take pictures, this year the festival will bring unique record-breaking products made for the IX (2020) and X (2021) festivals, but due to the pandemic, previously shown to the audience only in online format. The public will be shown: the largest panel, painted by the masters of the Fedoskino miniature painting factory (1.80 by 1.40 m, 30 kg), the longest towel in the world (210 m by 35 cm, 30 kg) and the largest tray in Russia, decorated with painted by the masters of the Zhostovo factory (2.10 by 1.5 m, 84 kg). Visitors will be able to take memorable photos against the backdrop of exclusive handicrafts.

The organizing committee of the festival launched a song flash mob. To participate, you need to download the soundtrack of the song “Moscow May” in social networks – https://vk.com/wall-189816741_982, https://ok.ru/polerusskoe/topic/154208252769121, https://t.me/polerusskoe/214 and on the festival website http://polerusskoe.ru/pesennyj-fleshmob/ and record a video with her performance. The video must be posted on one of the social networks VKontakte, Odnoklassniki or Telegram with the hashtag #Moscow_Russian_Field by August 15. The best performers will get into a common video with well-known artists who will perform at the Russian Field on August 27.

It will be possible to join the festivities not only offline at Kolomenskoye, but also online from anywhere in the world. Live broadcast of the key events of the festival will be available on the official website of the Russian Field and on the social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki.
