The rise in prices for diesel fuel may stop by October amid falling demand and strengthening of the ruble

In Russia, at the end of July – beginning of August, diesel fuel began to rise in price at filling stations, the prices for which, unlike gasoline, have remained stable since the beginning of the year. As follows from the data of Rosstat, the price of diesel fuel over the past four weeks has increased by 1.4% to 59.27 rubles per liter.
From July 17 to August 14 (data are provided for every Monday), the cost of 1 liter at gas stations added 82 kopecks. At the same time, on July 17, 1 liter of diesel cost 25 kopecks. cheaper than on the first working day of the year on January 9th.
Prices for diesel fuel in the Moscow fuel market, one of the largest in Russia, from July 17 to August 14 rose by 1.15%, or 68 kopecks, to 59.59 rubles per liter, follows from the data of the Moscow Fuel Association (MTA ). For comparison: from June 19 to July 17, the cost of 1 liter of diesel at the capital’s filling stations increased by only 0.1%, or by 6 kopecks, and on July 17, compared to January 9, it decreased by 6 kopecks.
