The revenue of Russian microbloggers for the nine months of 2023 grew by 272%

The total revenue of Russian microbloggers (audience of up to 50 thousand people) from advertising on social networks for the first nine months of 2023 increased by 272% compared to the same period last year – from 195 million to 503 million rubles. This follows from data from the Perfluence platform, which is provided by Forbes.
Perfluence analysts analyzed the income of more than 200 thousand blogger accounts. Experts attribute the increase in revenue to the unfreezing of advertising budgets, as well as the adaptation of bloggers to new platforms after the blocking of Instagram (owned by the extremist Meta, which is banned in the Russian Federation).
Most of the revenue, as follows from analysts’ data, came from blogs on Telegram – 266 million rubles. RUB 174 million bloggers received from advertising on VK. At the same time, influencers received 45.9 million rubles, that is, approximately 9% of the total amount, from income from Instagram.
In the second quarter of 2023, the income of leading Russian bloggers also continued grow. According to Solar Staff, the figure increased by 41% compared to the same period last year. As the Association of Bloggers and Agencies reported, in the first half of this year, the income of the top 10 Russian bloggers from advertising integrations on YouTube increased by an average of 19%.
