The return of a large US LNG plant to work after the explosion has been postponed to November

One of the largest LNG plants in the US, Freeport LNG in Texas, has delayed a return to work after accidents June 8. In a statement dated 30 June supposedthat partial liquefaction operations will resume in early October 2022. Now work may begin in early-mid November and reach a stable level by the end of November.
By March 2023, the company expects to use 100% of its capacity. The postponement decision follows a detailed assessment of alternatives for reopening the plant.
Freeport LNG handled approximately 20% of all US LNG. A significant part of the LNG from this plant was exported.
