Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, during a government meeting, announced an increase in limits on IT mortgages by 200 billion rubles. According to him, the corresponding resolution has already been prepared. Mr. Mishustin’s words are quoted by Interfax.
After the resolution is adopted, the program limits will amount to 700 billion rubles. According to the Prime Minister, increasing the limit will allow the program to be extended to at least 15 thousand specialists. He noted that currently more than 50 thousand people have already taken advantage of IT mortgages.
On April 1, TASS, citing the VTB press service, reported that from April 3, the bank would suspend issuing preferential loans under the IT mortgage program due to the exhaustion of limits. After this, the Ministry of Digital Development announced that a draft resolution on increasing the general limit on IT mortgages had been agreed upon by the Ministry of Finance and submitted to the government. The ministry explained that in April DOM.RF will distribute additional limits between banks and bring financing to them.
