The press service of the film company 2020films, which is responsible for the release of the film, said that a new release date will be announced later. The reason for the postponement of the release of the film is not specified.

The film tells the story of a young man named Sasha who is about to emigrate from Russia to Europe. A week before leaving, he finds his mother, who left him in the hospital. The film starred Chulpan Khamatova, Filipp Avdeev, Agata Muceniece, Yulia Menshova.
At the end of March, Chulpan Khamatova, actress and founder of the Podari Zhizn Foundation, resigned from the Sovremennik Theater and left to Latvia. She opposed the military operation in Ukraine and took part in an anti-war rally in Riga. The distribution certificate for The Common Man was issued on April 8.
