The real exchange rate of the ruble fell in August

According to the preliminary estimate of the Central Bank, the real effective exchange rate of the ruble against the basket of currencies of the states – the main trading partners fell by 3.9% in August. This follows from the published statistics on the website of the regulator.
According to the Central Bank, in January-August the real effective exchange rate of the ruble increased by 36.7%.
As follows from the statistics, the real exchange rate of the ruble against the US dollar in August against December 2021 increased by 27.0%, against the euro – by 39.1%.
The real exchange rate of the ruble against the US dollar fell by 4.2% in August compared to July, against the euro – by 4.6%.
