Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov received an appeal with a request to check the actor Danila Kozlovsky under an article about discrediting the army. The initiator was Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Project for Security and Combating Corruption, who previously sent appeals to check the activities Slepakov’s seeds, Diana Arbenina, Valeria Meladze and others.
Mr. Borodin believes that Mr. Kozlovsky spoke out against the military operation of the Russian Federation in Ukraine. The statement notes that the actor was leaving for the United States. The Federal Project on Security and the Fight against Corruption asks to check the artist under Part 1 of Art. 20.3.3. Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the RF Armed Forces in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens”).
According to media reports, Mr. Kozlovsky intends to return to Russia. Maly Drama Theater informedthat the actor continues to work in the theater. The press secretary and brother of the artist Yegor Kozlovsky noted that the performances planned in Moscow and St. Petersburg in April and May with the participation of Danila Kozlovsky will take place as scheduled.
