The Prosecutor General’s Office has clarified the amount of claims in the claim for unjust enrichment of the former owners of the Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Plant (CHEMK) in the amount of 105 billion rubles, the press service of the Arbitration Court of the Chelyabinsk Region reported “In contact with”. The department asked the court to collect jointly and severally from Yuri, Mikhail, Lyudmila Antipovs, Alexander, Lyudmila Aristovs, Elena, Alexander Kretovs and two companies – JSC Etalon Company and LLC Ariant Group of Companies – 105 billion rubles. To offset the amount, the department asked the court to recover in favor of the state 100% of the shares of LLC Kuban-Vino, LLC Agrofirm Yuzhnaya, LLC Agrofirm Ariant, LLC TsPI – Ariant, which belonged to the Ariant group of companies. Also to recover the 100% shares of Katav-Ivanovo Foundry LLC owned by Etalon Company JSC.

In addition, the supervisory authority asked the court to take interim measures on the claim, namely to seize the property of the defendants and establish a ban on certain actions. The court satisfied the prosecutor’s demands for interim measures in full.

The Prosecutor General’s Office filed a lawsuit against Messrs. Antipov and JSC “Company “Etalon”” on March 14. At that time, the amount of claims amounted to more than 25.8 billion rubles, including the debt to JSC Ural-Siberian Metallurgical Company and interest on it.

On February 26, the Arbitration Court of the Sverdlovsk Region satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia for the seizure in favor of the state of the shares of three enterprises of the ChEMK group that belonged to Etalon Company JSC. The court declared the privatization of the 1990s illegal and seized shares of JSC Serov Ferroalloy Plant (NWF, Sverdlovsk Region), JSC Chelyabinsk Electrometallurgical Plant and JSC Kuznetsk Ferroalloys (Kemerovo Region).
