The Prosecutor General’s Office asked the court to transfer all shares of Rolf to the state.

The Moskovsky District Court of St. Petersburg registered a claim by the Prosecutor General’s Office against the Rolf car dealer and the founder of the holding, Sergei Petrov, for the recovery of assets in favor of the state, reported in the joint press service of the city courts.

If the claim is satisfied, all Rolf shares owned by Delance Limited and Rolf Motors, as well as 100% of the shares in the authorized capital of Rolf Motors, Rolf Estate St. Petersburg, Rolf Tech, will be transferred to the state as property, received in violation of anti-corruption legislation, the supervisory agency clarified.

Rolf is the largest car seller in the country. Last year, Rolf’s assets were transferred under temporary management of the Federal Property Management Agency by decree of President Vladimir Putin. Press secretary of the head of state Dmitry Peskov explained this decision by economic feasibility, compliance with Russian laws and international conditions.

The founder of Rolf, ex-State Duma deputy from A Just Russia, Sergei Petrov, has been on the international wanted list since 2019. According to investigators, Mr. Petrov entered into a conspiracy with the heads of companies under his control and withdrew 4 billion rubles abroad. through the sale to Rolf of shares of the Rolf Estate company at an inflated amount. Consequence assertsthat the real value of the Rolf Estate is 200 million rubles. The investigation considers Anatoly Cairo, a former member of the board of directors of Rolf, to be a key participant in the transaction, which took place in 2014. On September 1, 2023, the Cheryomushkinsky Court of Moscow sentenced Kairo to 8.5 years in a general regime colony.
