In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the production of passenger cars of one of the Chinese brands can be organized. Governor Gleb Nikitin stated this at the Russian-Chinese business forum in Shanghai. According to him, the region relies on the large-scale development of technological cooperation with China, in particular in the automotive industry.
“Our cluster includes more than 800 enterprises specializing in the production of automobiles and auto components, materials and services. The possibility of localizing the production of Chinese cars in our region is being considered. Negotiations between our and Chinese manufacturers are already underway with the full support of the regional government,” said Mr. Nikitin.
