Oil prices for benchmark brands – Brent and WTI – continue to decline amid Saudi Arabia’s decision to cut prices for February supplies for buyers in all regions. About the solution was announced January 7 due to decreased demand in the global market.
According to trading data on the London ICE Futures exchange, the price of March Brent futures at 17:40 Moscow time is $75.38 per barrel. Compared to the closing indicator of the previous session, the price decreased by 4.29%. The price of a barrel of WTI was at $70.26 (-4.81%).
At the same time, the dollar exchange rate on the Moscow Exchange increased by 0.49%, to 91.39 rubles. The euro is trading at RUB 100.07. (+0.46%), yuan – 12.7 rubles. (+0.53%).
Analysts at Goldman Sachs predict that Brent oil prices will range from $70 to $90 per barrel in 2024. Previously, they expected prices to fluctuate in the range of $80–100 per barrel.
