The price of a food basket in Russia amounted to 3,823 rubles

Research holding “Romir” determined the average cost of a food basket in Russia at 3,823 rubles. The highest prices were in St. Petersburg (4082 rubles), Khimki (4067 rubles), Moscow (4047 rubles).
The company analyzed 32 product groups, which included bread, vegetables, fruits, groceries, meat, fish, and dairy products.
Vkusvill offers the highest cost of a food basket among convenience stores (5,103 rubles). The lowest price was in “Pyaterochka” (3315 rubles), “Magnet” (3568 rubles), “Dixie” (3670 rubles). Among super- and hypermarkets, goods at the highest cost are offered by Spar (4095 rubles). The leaders at the best prices in this category are Magnit Hypermarket (3,716 rubles) and Lenta (3,831 rubles).
Ranking of cities by the highest cost of the food basket:

- Ufa (3976 rubles);
- Yekaterinburg (3959 rubles);
- Krasnodar (3955 rubles);
- Kazan (3922 rubles).
According to the data of the Ministry of Economy for October 18–24, annual inflation decreased up to 12.88%. Consumer prices increased by 0.08%, the cost of food – by 0.15%. This happened due to the seasonal rise in prices for fruits and vegetables.
