Anna Volk has been appointed General Director of the Perm Tchaikovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre. This was reported press office theater. The post of CEO became vacant in May 2023 after the dismissal of the then head Dovlet Anzarokov. Mr. Anzarokov himself explained his departure by a conflict with the regional Ministry of Culture.
Ms. Volk graduated from the theater department of the Russian Academy of Theater Arts (GITIS), at various times directed the Moscow Center for Drama and Directing and the Pushkin Theater, held the positions of technical director and head of the headquarters of the Golden Mask festival. Among the directors with whom Anna Volk collaborated are Mark Zakharov, Eymuntas Nyakroshyus, Dmitry Chernyakov, Declan Donnellan, Evgeny Pisarev and many other recognized masters of the domestic and world theater.
