In 2023, the number of business inspections has already decreased by 15% year on year, said the head of the Ministry of Economy, Maxim Reshetnikov. He assured that “the general level of security has been maintained.”
“In total, 339 thousand inspections were carried out last year. This is five times lower than in 2019. And if we take this year, then our number of inspections has decreased by another 15%,” said Mr. Reshetnikov at the EEF (quote from TASS).
According to him, the number of incidents at enterprises has not increased, and the load on business has “significantly decreased.” “Our indicators are decreasing in the number of victims of poisoning, in the number of fires, in those killed in them, in overdue wages,” says the head of the Ministry of Economy.
In May, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin reportedthat the number of business inspections in Russia in 2022 has decreased to a historical minimum. According to him, last year a third of inspections affected small and medium-sized businesses. In June at SPIEF, President Vladimir Putin statedthat a business should not be inspected if it does not involve risks of harm to humans and the environment.
