The network of medical laboratories “Labquest” examines pets

The Labquest network, specializing in laboratory diagnostics, is about to enter the veterinary services market. Vedomosti was informed about this by a source familiar with her plans. According to him, for these purposes the company has already acquired a laboratory in St. Petersburg. He did not provide other details. According to the Online Patent system, in early November, Labquest actually filed applications with Rospatent to register the trademarks “Science in the service of our animals” and “We are responsible for those you have tamed.” After completion of all procedures, they will become the slogans of the new project of the network, a representative of Labquest confirmed. According to him, partner veterinary clinics will collect biomaterials, and Labquest’s own laboratory will conduct research.

RNC Pharma Development Director Nikolai Bespalov points out that to launch one veterinary laboratory, purchase the necessary equipment, consumables, and hire employees, about 100 million rubles will be needed. Director of DSM Group Sergey Shulyak believes that investments will be lower – at the level of 50 million rubles.
