Pavel Strogonov has been appointed as the new general director of the former Ukrainian confectionery enterprise JSC Konti-Rus, which in early November was transferred to the ownership of the Russian Federation at the request of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The new top manager met with the Governor of the Kursk Region Roman Starovoyt. How reported in the regional government, Mr. Strogonov promised that all obligations to employees, partners and clients of the enterprise will be fulfilled, some employees are preparing for training in specializations.
The government emphasized that Pavel Strogonov has extensive experience in management positions, and previously he served as development director and general director at one of the enterprises in Kaliningrad. According to Kartoteka.ruPavel Strogonov is the general director of the legal entity of the local structure of the confectionery world group of companies Barry Callebaut – Barry Callebaut Kaliningrad LLC.
As Kommersant told, the defendants in the lawsuit for the nationalization of Konti-Rus were influential Ukrainian businessmen and politicians: Rinat Akhmetov, Boris Kolesnikov (beneficiary of the Konti group and former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine) and Sergei Kiy, relatives of the late authoritative businessman Zhigan Taktashev, as well as a whole group of offshore companies. The court banned their activities on the territory of the Russian Federation and recognized them as extremist.
JSC Konti-Rus was created on the basis of JSC Conditer-Kursk, which was acquired by the Ukrainian group Konti in 2004. Now the company owns two confectionery factories in Kursk, a logistics center of the highest European classification AAA and production sites in the Lipetsk and Ivanovo regions. The company employs more than 2.6 thousand people. The revenue of Konti-Rus in 2022 exceeded 15 billion rubles. In 2022, the factory produced 80 thousand tons of confectionery products, according to the results of nine months of the current year – 56.7 thousand tons. The product range includes more than 250 items.
