The Moskvich plant was headed by a former top manager of Kamaz

The Board of Directors of the Moscow Automobile Plant Moskvich appointed Hans-Peter Moser as General Director on June 29. About it reported in company.

The fact that Moskvich can be headed by a native of Kamaz was previously told to Vedomosti by sources. The former head of the company, Dmitry Pronin, took over as chairman of the board of directors of the enterprise.

Moser was born in 1954 in Germany. He has an education in economics and business management. The Moskvich report says that he has proven himself to be a strong leader, working in senior positions in both domestic and international companies.

Moser previously worked for the Russian company “Kamaz“. In September 2022, the press service of the company reportedthat he is leaving the post of head of the project “Reengineering of auto production and the creation of a promising family of Kamaz vehicles.” Moser himself explained that he had decided to continue his professional path as an independent entrepreneur.

Production at the Moskvich plant was resumed in November 2022. Kamaz became the technology partner of the Moscow government, which received the Renault Russia plant after the French company left Russia, in this project. The parties agreed on a parity distribution of shares in the capital of the enterprise and investments in it of 5 billion rubles.

In early April, Moskvich introduced Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin a new car model – the Moskvich 6 sedan. Production and sales of the car will start in the second half of 2023, Sobyanin specified.
