The Moscow Exchange index at the start exceeded 3,300 points for the first time since February 2022

Moscow Exchange Index (MOEX: MOEX) at the start of trading on March 5 exceeded 3,300 points for the first time since February 2022. As of 11:25 Moscow time, the maximum index value was 3,307.82 points.
In the first seconds after the start of trading, the index was 3306.87 points, the RTS index was 1140.26 points. The growth leaders at the start of trading were shares of Polymetal (+1.9%), PJSC Polyus (+1.6%), Yandex (+1.6%), Moscow Exchange (+1%), ALROSA (+ 0.8%).
During trading on March 4, the Moscow Exchange index increased by 0.94%, to 3301.05 points, for the first time since February 21, 2022. On March 3, the index updated its two-year high, reaching 3295.38 points. Analysts attribute the growth trend to the stabilization of the market, the strengthening of the ruble and the announcement of companies to pay dividends.
