The Moscow Exchange index at the opening exceeded 3,450 points for the first time since February 21, 2022

Moscow Exchange Index (MOEX: MOEX) is above 3450 points. The last time it was at these values was on February 21, 2022 – on that day Russia recognized the independence of the DPR and LPR. This is not the first time the Moscow Exchange Index reaches highs in February 2022.

The Moscow Exchange index was 3452.79 points at 10:09 today, April 11. Later it corrected and at 10:51 was at the level of 3445.18 points (+0.17% to close). On February 21, 2022, at its maximum, the Moscow Exchange index was 3,460.42 points.
The drivers of growth today, April 11, were the shares of Rusagro, Aeroflot, Polyus, Inter RAO and Seligdar. The prices of securities of AFK Sistema, Mechel, MMK and Surgutneftegaz are decreasing.
The RTS index decreases by 0.27%, to 1156.23 points. The dollar grows by 44 kopecks, to 93.88 rubles, the euro – by 34 kopecks, to 100.83 rubles, the yuan – by 6 kopecks, to 12.93 rubles.
