The Ministry of Transport will reduce fees for aircraft maintenance in the regions

The Ministry of Transport decided to lower the rates for servicing aircraft in the regions in order to reduce the price of air tickets. This was announced by the head of the Ministry of Transport Dmitry Zverev, referring to his words RBC.

“We discussed the order with business, now it is being discussed in principle with all regions within the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts,” the head of the Ministry of Transport said at a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Economic Policy. So he responded to the request of the head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev, to apply zero rates at Yakut airports.

According to the head of Yakutia, about 20% of the cost of a ticket for a flight in the republic falls on servicing the aircraft at the airport. On Moscow flights, airport services account for no more than 2% of the ticket price.

Aisen Nikolaev proposed zeroing rates for regional aircraft. However, the head of the Ministry of Transport recalled that the order provides for a maximum reduction in tariffs by two to four times. The order will be submitted for registration to the Ministry of Justice until January 1, 2023.

The rules for the formation of tariffs and fees for aircraft maintenance were approved by the Ministry of Transport in July 2012. According to them, a service factor of 0.25 is applied to aircraft with a takeoff weight of up to 5 tons. That is, for aircraft for regional airlines, such as the Yak-40, An-24, DHC-6, L-410, exceeding this figure in terms of tonnage, this coefficient does not apply.
