The Ministry of Industry and Trade supported the creation of a database of unscrupulous suppliers

A base of unscrupulous manufacturers, suppliers and importers of industrial products will appear in Russia. The government’s initiative was supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. About it write Izvestia with reference to the department.

The list is planned to include companies with administrative penalties and convictions in criminal cases in the field of illegal trade in goods.

The goal of the initiative is to “improve the competitive environment” in the circulation of goods on the market, the department explained. They noted that being on the list does not have any consequences for suppliers and manufacturers, but such a list will become “an information guide for bona fide market participants.”

Previously, the government instructed the Ministry of Industry and Trade to study the issue of creating such a base in Russia and determine the sources of its financing. Now the department is collecting the opinion of other ministries, including recommendations on its structure, composition of information, list of products, data sources, etc.

It is clarified that the creation of such a list has already been supported by many departments, with the exception of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Digital Development, the Federal Antimonopoly Service, and Rosalkogoltabakkontrol. Also, the Supreme Court is not yet ready to provide information on administrative offenses and criminal cases in the field of illegal trafficking in industrial products, the Ministry of Industry and Trade added. They noted that they continue to work on approval of the project.
