The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia sent a list of specific in-demand workers of the military-industrial complex (DIC) of military age, employed in the implementation of the state order, to the Ministry of Defense. They will be granted a deferment from the spring draft for military service in 2023. This was reported in the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
“The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has sent a list to the Russian Ministry of Defense with a list of specific, particularly in-demand employees of military-industrial complex organizations of military age, which is currently being worked out,” the ministry said in a statement (quoted from TASS).
The Ministry of Industry and Trade added that work with regard to citizens who are in reserve and working in the defense industry is already being carried out under the leadership of the Interdepartmental Booking Commission (MVK). In the near future, the Ministry of Defense for Armor will optimize the list of categories of workers who will be able to receive a deferment from military service for mobilization, taking into account the interests of the defense industry and the Ministry of Defense.
In January, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the authorities would work on the possibility of deferring from conscription for military-industrial complex employees. Yesterday, March 14, during a visit to an aircraft factory in Ulan-Ude, Mr Putin informedthat the Ministry of Industry and Trade handed over to the Ministry of Defense a list of specialists in demand in the defense industry to provide them with a deferment from the spring draft this year. He also pointed outthat due to a shortage of employees in the defense industry, the deadlines for fulfilling the state defense order are being disrupted.
