The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia did not receive a request from the departments to exclude the products of the German alcohol producer Mast-Jagermeister SE from parallel imports. About this TASS reported in the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
As stated in the press service, the ministry includes or excludes products in (from) the list of goods allowed for parallel imports, at the proposals of the relevant federal executive authorities.
“At the moment, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has not received the position of industry regulators (the Ministry of Finance of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, Rosalkogolregulirovanie) on the issue of excluding the products of the German alcohol producer Mast-Jagermeister SE from the corresponding list,” the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported.
Earlier today it became known that the Kaluga Distillery (KLVZ) “Crystal” sent a letter to the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov with a request to exclude herbal liquor from the German manufacturer Mast-Jagermeister SE from parallel imports.
After launching the production of Alter Heiler and Konig Heiler bitters, the company began to face “unprecedented and illegal pressure” from the German manufacturer, Kristall noted. They recalled that in May, Mast-Jagermeister demanded compensation in the amount of about 512 million rubles through the court from KLVZ. for the sale of goods that the German manufacturer considered counterfeit.
KLVZ General Director Artem Chubukin, quoted by the press service, called the allegations of illegal use of the Mast-Jagermeister trademarks false, since Russian liqueurs are “unique products” of the plant and are produced according to the original recipe.
