In Moscow, there is a shortage of antibiotics based on amoxicillin, the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported. The department assures that supply disruptions will be eliminated in the near future.
According to the Ministry of Trade and Trade, there is an increased demand for antibiotics based on amoxicillin in Moscow. The department explained this by seasonal demand and the purchase of the drug “in reserve”.
Antibiotics based on amoxicillin (“Amoxiclav”) are recommended for infections of the upper respiratory tract and ENT organs, lower respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues, bone and connective tissue, etc.
“Taking into account the completion of measures for partial mobilization, as well as with the entry of new domestic manufacturers into the market, it is predicted that in the near future, failures in the provision of the pharmacy network will stop,” the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade said. “RIA News”.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade added that Russian manufacturers are working to increase the production of this group of antibiotics. According to the department, now in Russia there are about 10.5 million packages of the drug with an annual consumption of 26 million packages.
