The Ministry of Industry and Trade assured of sufficient food in Crimea

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade sees no reason to limit the retail sale of goods in the Crimea and Sevastopol. According to the department, there are enough goods and food in the republic.

“The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia does not see the need to introduce any restrictions on the retail sale of goods in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol – the regions are fully provided with food, commodity stocks are at a sufficient level,” the ministry said (TASS quote). At the Crimean Ministry of Industry and Trade spokethat stocks of food and non-food essentials will last for 55 days.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade noted that restrictions on the sale of goods in one hand were introduced by some retail chains, but this is not associated with a possible shortage. According to the department, such measures were supposed to prevent the resale of these goods by citizens at inflated prices amid increased demand. In the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Crimea earlier declaredthat groceries will be sold up to three kilograms per person “in order to avoid artificial excitement.”

Fears of a possible shortage of goods in Crimea are associated with explosion truck on the Crimean bridge and the subsequent ignition of fuel tanks.
