The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has added several new items to the list of goods allowed for parallel imports. The department noted that the changes are of a point nature, transmits TASS.
In particular, the parallel import of Panasonic, Duracell and Varta batteries and accumulators is now allowed. The Ministry of Industry and Trade included spare parts for BOMAG Isuzu cars and equipment, as well as Canon, Fujifilm and Sony cameras. In addition, the list included glasses from different brands, including Ray-Ban, HUGO and Calvin Klein.
At the same time, Acuvue lenses were not on the list. The Ministry of Industry and Trade explained that the company continues official deliveries of products.
Phones remained allowed for parallel import Samsung, should from the order of the department, published on August 4 on the portal of legal information. In June, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev allowed product exclusion Samsung and LG from the list due to the appearance of Chinese analogues in Russia. The minister stressed that limiting the supply of iPhone for parallel imports is not discussed.
Parallel import involves the importation of original goods into the country without the permission of the right holder or manufacturer. In Russia, this measure came into effect at the end of March 2022 in response to Western sanctions. In autumn, the mechanism was extended to 2023. The list of products for parallel import includes goods from electronics manufacturers (Apple, Samsung, Intel, etc.), cars (Porsche, Jaguar, Rolls-Royce, etc.), rare earth metals, sports equipment and others
