The Ministry of Energy intends to seek the launch of the energy market in the Far East from July, said the head of the department, Nikolai Shulginov. According to him, a number of difficulties have now arisen with the coordination of this issue by “one non-core manager.” He did not specify who he was talking about.

He believes that the launch of the market, given the current growth in energy consumption and local shortages, is “the right price signal, the right volumes and parameters for generating generation construction.” The minister expressed hope that the market will be launched on time, otherwise, he is convinced, “some investors will lose faith.”
