The Ministry of Energy predicts an increase in LNG production in 2024 by one and a half times

The volume of liquefied natural gas (LNG) production in Russia in 2024 will increase 1.5 times compared to the 2022 level by 16 million tons and amount to 47.3 million tons. This is reported in the passport of the state program “Energy Development”, which Vedomosti reviewed. LNG production will remain at the same level in 2025.
Energy Minister Nikolai Shulginov has been appointed responsible for the implementation of the updated version of the program, which is being adjusted along with the draft budget for 2024–2026, as follows from the document.
