The Ministry of Energy of Russia will consider the introduction of licensing for the export of petroleum products as part of the fight against rising fuel prices in the domestic market. This was reported to Vedomosti in the press service of the Ministry of Energy.
“The Ministry of Energy has analyzed various options for countering the export of fuels intended for the domestic market, including the licensing mechanism,” the press service said in a response. They stressed that an interdepartmental discussion is now underway, it is “premature” to talk about any approaches.
