The government is lifting the ban on gasoline exports from November 17 due to the saturation of the domestic market and to support the unloading of oil plants. The export embargo in force since September 21 may be returned, but for now the government is only monitoring production and price indicators.
Within two months, “while maintaining high volumes of oil refining at the refinery, saturation of the domestic market was ensured and a surplus in the supply of motor gasoline was created, including in the exchange sales channel,” she reported. press service Ministry of Energy.
Since September 21, stock exchange wholesale prices for gasoline have “reduced significantly,” and reserves of motor gasoline amount to about 2 million tons. In the winter, repair work at refineries is completed, while the demand for gasoline decreases, the Ministry of Energy noted.
A temporary restriction on the export of diesel fuel and gasoline was introduced against the backdrop of rising prices and shutdowns of several refineries for planned repairs. On October 6, the government announced the approval of new measures, including the lifting of restrictions on the export of diesel fuel delivered to seaports by pipes, provided that the manufacturer supplies at least 50% of diesel fuel to the domestic market.
